In a laboratory trial, Advion® Evolution Cockroach Gel Bait and Maxforce® FC Magnum Roach Killer Bait Gel were tested side-by-side for attractiveness with bait-averse German cockroaches. The enhanced formulation of Advion Evolution resulted in increased feeding.
Optigard® Cockroach Gel Bait and Vendetta® Plus Cockroach Gel Bait were evaluated for bait attractiveness in a laboratory trial. The results demonstrate that cockroaches preferred the formulation of Optigard Cockroach.
Advion Evolution and Advion Cockroach Gel Baits contain a MetaActive™ effect, which only activates once ingested by insects to provide targeted control of all prevailing cockroach species
Cockroaches adapt quickly, which is why it’s important to rotate gel baits to help manage potential aversion and resistance. Advion Evolution or Advion Cockroach, along with Optigard Cockroach, can be used as part of a recommended three-month rotation, which matches the average life cycle of a German cockroach. While there are no documented cases of resistance with Syngenta cockroach gel baits, it’s important to understand potential types of resistance, and how proper rotation can help decrease the chances of resistance.
